- Applicable requirements
- Industrial enclosures and junction boxes are specified to IEC 60529 ingress-protection (IP) ratings appropriate to the installation environment (typically IP54–IP66). Low-voltage switchgear and distribution assemblies follow IEC 61439-1/-2. Equipment for hazardous-area (Ex) duty is supplied against the client's area classification, certified per ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and/or IECEx as required. Cables are selected to IEC 60228 conductor sizing and IEC 60502-1 voltage-grade requirements, with fire performance per IEC 60332 where specified. Cable glands and termination accessories follow IEC 62444. Grounding, bonding and lightning-protection components are supplied in line with IEC 62305 (system) and IEC 62561 (components) where a design is specified.
